February 5 - Announcements

Any girls in grades 9-12 planning on playing softball this year needs to stop in Mrs. Davidson's room and get a schedule today or tomorrow.  

ACT prep will take place in Mrs. Luthman's room next Monday, February 11 during lunch.

Have you visited Fresh Express lately? Stay in where its warm and come see us after school for a snack. Heading to practice and don't want to eat anything too heavy?  We've got you covered with quick protein options we have recently added including beef, beef and cheese and teriyaki beef sticks to the menu. In addition, Taco Bites are back. Fresh Express is open after school from 2:45 to 3:05 Monday-Thursday.

One of our FCCLA teams is seeking donations of new and gently used gloves and books for a project.  Donations can be dropped off to Mrs. Kipker or given to Lauren Fark, Serrinity Martinez or Sierra Moorman.

The collection drive for the Crossroads Crisis Center that started on Monday, Jan 28 has been extended to this Friday, February 8 due to the number of delays and cancellations we have experienced. Please refer to the flyer you received for the items being collected. Remember this is a contest, and the class that brings in the most items will receive winter themed treats. The current totals are 7th grade 117; 4th grade 4; 9th grade 3; grades 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 are at zero.

There will be a college representative here from Urbana University on Tuesday morning, February 12th at 9:00.  Interested juniors and seniors should first check with their 2nd period teacher then sign-up right outside of Mrs. Kohler’s office.    

Attention seniors due to all the recent delays and cancellations, senior t-shirt orders will now be due by Friday, February 15. Also, please send or bring a copy of your senior pictures to Harris as soon as possible.

The FCCLA will be selling Heart suckers this Wednesday, February 6 thru Tuesday, February 12 during the lunch periods.  The cost of the suckers is 50 cents and they are like the lip suckers sold in previous years. The suckers will be delivered during lunch on Thursday, February 14.

Jackson Center Fine Arts Exhibition coming up on Thursday, February 21st. Reverse raffle tickets now on sale in the office for $10 for a chance to win $250. Get your ticket by February 20th. Admission on February 21st $13 without a chance at the raffle drawing.
