Congratulations to the academia team on a great match last evening.  The match came down to the wire.  The team came in second.  Final scores were Ft. Loramie 34, JC 33, and Houston 31.  The team will be back in action next Monday, October 5 at Jackson Center beginning at 7pm.

Wednesday, September 30 a mini Relay for Life will be held at Jackson Center schools. Students will be led out at their scheduled time by a staff member to walk the new track. Students are asked to look at the charts posted around the school to identify a color they would like to wear on Wednesday to support the type of cancer that has a personal connection for them. Tennis shoes are recommended for the walk on Wednesday as well as jackets, etc. to accommodate the weather for that day. Thanks in advance for helping us show support and raise awareness for all who have fought or are currently fighting a battle with cancer. A banner contest will be held by grade level with the winning classes earning ice cream at lunch. Any community members who wish to walk are welcome to walk beginning at 2:30.

All students interested in participating in FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, are asked to sign up outside Mrs. Vicki Kipker's room by Wednesday, September 30. All student athletes in grades 9-12 are welcome to join us but sign up is needed to assist with communication throughout the school year.

NOTICE
All Students Eligible for Free Breakfast and Lunch through December, 2020
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a federal program known as the Seamless Summer Program was modified to allow all students enrolled at Jackson Center Local Schools, whether attending in person or participating via remote learning, to receive a free breakfast and/or lunch through the last school day in December, 2020.
Parents should be also be aware that after Jackson Center became eligible for this program in mid-September, it was confirmed we could make this retro-active to the first school day of this 2020-21 school year.  As a result, all student food service accounts were credited for any breakfast or lunch already paid from August 20th thru the introduction of this program on Monday, Sept. 14th.  The meal that qualifies as free is the regular elementary (K-3) or high school lunch (4-12).
If you have any questions on this program, please contact me (937.596.6053 x149) at the school or Tony Meyer in the Treasurer’s Office (937.596.6053 x105).
Account adjustments will be calculated and made throughout the month of October.   Your patience in this process is appreciated.
Thank you for your support,
LaCresha Clark – Food Services Manager
