November 26 Announcements

The VFW sponsored a writing contest for middle school students.  Students were asked to write a 300-400 word essay about "What Makes America Great". Kathryn Prenger earned 2nd place and Lawson Snapp earned 4th place in the competition. Both are invited to a banquet this spring and will each receive 25 dollars.  Congratulations Kathryn and Lawson.

Congratulations to the November PAWS (Positive Attitude, Acceptance, Warmth, Sharing) award winners: Chris Klopfenstein, Alex Glick, Kennedy Jackson, and Rachel Sailor.

Did you forget to order your 2019 yearbook? Don't worry! See Mrs. Metzger to purchase your copy before they are all gone!

Attention sophomores, if you’d like to visit Explore Careers Day on Wednesday, December 4th, you need to sign up for the field trip outside of Mrs. Kohler’s office today!

Seniors: your yearbook quotes are due by December 2nd.  You can hand them in to Mrs. Metzger, Kylie Hartle or Mason Clark!

Parents, educators and students are encouraged to attend and learn about Honda Internship and scholarship opportunities on Thursday, December 5th at 5:00pm. This event is being held at Edison State Community College in Piqua with free pizza and drinks provided by Honda. For RSVP instructions and further information please pick up a flyer in Jackson Center School main office.

Concession stand workers for tonight’s high school girls’ basketball game are Kennedy Jackson, Serrinity Martinez, Jacob Vetter and Ryan West. Please report by 5:45pm.

It's the season of giving! The Jackson Center-UVCC FFA will once again be hosting their 'Harvest for the Hungry" Canned Food Drive from December 2-13. Students are asked to donate items for the Fish Pond Food Pantry. A list of suggested items will be passed out during your first period class. Items should be turned in at the following locations:

K-3rd grade: Marked Containers near the stage in the elementary
4th: Hinegardner 5th: Clinehens 6th: Metzger
7th: S. Kipker 8th: N. Meyer 9th: Pulfer
10th: Davidson 11th: Luthman 12th: Elchert
